Banjar Hot Springs

Experience of swimming in natural hot spring in Banjar, North Bali. You may be tired during the trip, and you will feel better at the time when you swim in this natural hot spring.

The hot water springs provide a recreational and therapeutic experience, due to the water’s sulphuric content. This can be seen from the yellowish red sedimentation at several points of the spouts and pool walls.The bathing pools are constructed around the hot water spring source and feature a tiered structure. The first level features eight dragon spouts with a smaller pool also adjoining this section. The large size of the central bathing pools enables families to join in on the soothing dip. Down on the second level is the main central pool.

Brahma Vihara Arama Buddhist Monastery

Brahmavihara-Arama or Banjar Buddhist Temple is Bali’s largest Buddhist monastery, located up in the hills of Banjar, only 1.5km west of the Banjar Hot Springs. Opened in 1970, Brahmavihara-Arama comprises a hectare of hillside, with numerous meditation rooms, beautiful gardens, libraries, and an impressive mini replica of the world's largest Buddhist archaeological site, Borobudur on its highest grounds.

Gitgit Waterfall

The thing you should not miss is visiting the 48m high waterfall named Gitgit Waterfall. You need to walk about 10 minutes to see the Gitgit waterfall, as you walk you will see a variety of tropical plants planted by local people and tropical forests in the green mountains. When you get there you can instantly enjoy the spectacle of the 48m cascade that constantly pours into a rocky pool with a small shrine that ‘guards’ the site. You can enjoy a cool plunge in the pool.
