What To Expect

Our guide driver will pick you up from your Hotel / Villa around 3AM according to your pickup location. You'll have your time here to relax and enjoy the amazing view of the Kintamani Volcano, named Mt. Batur. You'll have the freedom to select Paperhills' signature breakfast option.

Tirta Empul Temple

After we enjoy Kintamani view and finish our breakfast, next we will explore some of best Ubud Highlights and first we will head to one of the busiest water temples in Indonesia, Tirta Empul. It is a temple considered sacred by Balinese Hindu community. The temple has several holy springs and believed to be blessed water that could purify those who bathe there. It is considered one of the five most holy temples in all of Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources in Bali.As a petirtaan or bathing center, Tirta Empul is quite a large temple complex and it takes at least an hour to 2 hours to explore the entire site. Just as at other temples and sacred sites around the island, you will need to put on a 'sarong' before entering the premises. The sarongs are available at the temple's entrance and can be rented for a small donation.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

After we learn a little bit of Hindu & Bali Culture, we'll head to one of the most popular green attractions in Ubud area is Tegallalang Rice Fields. it is a series of beautifully arranged paddies which follows the traditional Balinese irrigation system called “subak.” The system is said to have been passed down by a sage named Rsi Markandeya in the 8th century. Tegallalang Rice Fields is situated in a valley that offers extraordinarily scenic lookouts over the terraces and surrounding green landscape. Along with the ones in the villages of Pejeng and Campuhan, Tegallalang Rice Fields form the three most stunning-looking terraced landscapes in Ubud region.

Kanto Lampo Waterfall

Last but not least, we will visit Kanto Lampo Waterfall. This is a hidden gem in Bali where you can soak in the pristine water, and take pictures on the insta-famous rock. Its scenic, seasonal waterfall with its water cascading down a stepped rick formation is a stunning view to behold. Located in the village of Beng Gianyar, this waterfall is also very easy to get to. Unlike other waterfalls, you don’t have to go through miles and miles of hiking and trekking.
