Overview

See a traditional farmer's lifestyle.
Pick up from any hotel/resort in the Kuta, Sanur, Seminyak, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran or Ubud areas at about 8.15am and drive to Tabanan, a beautiful area of terraced rice fields and magnificent mountain scenery. As this is such a fertile area most of the island's farming is carried out here.
On arrival in the village you will visit a village Elementary School, to see teaching and learning activities (except school holidays). Proceed to a local family's home and prepare for some farming activities. Farming equipment, such as a farmer’s hat, mattock, also mosquito lotion are provided.
Guests will enjoy participating in cultivating sawah (ricefields).
After farming, trek to the area of tropical plantations. Watch a local climb a coconut tree here. Then have the young coconut served as a refreshment.
Walk back to home base for boiling cassava demonstration at a traditional kitchen. Then a traditional lunch is served.
Return to your hotel in the afternoon.
